About Moodle Team

I HAVE BECOME A MEMBER OF TWO STUDY GRUPS
The first one I would call "Advanced". Its geography is impressive and all of us are inspired by the common goal of participating in M4T-A program within IT4All.
A few words about each of us.

Ramesh, the representative of India, is now working in Guyana, South America. He is interested in the issues of distant learning in a broader context. He has great experience in administration in this area and now he is focused on the introduction of the most advanced Internet technologies at the new institute in Guyana.

Ian lives in Ireland, he is a musician and a very caring person. He likes to discuss "burning" issues with others. He wants to create a socially significant educational project that will benefit many people. Once I saw his yellow two-faced icon in his blog, I started to think of him as legendary God Janus.

Rima lives in Saudi Arabia. She has recently graduated from the University and now she is an online teacher. She teaches computers and Arabic language. I am impressed by the number of courses in advanced computer technology and language learning, which Rima has already mastered.
Glenn lives and works in Canada. To me, he is the Chief Expert in a special and very sophisticated - technical - part of the project. From the first day he began to urge all of us to install the latest versions of programs like Skype 5.0 and so on. He is a very thoughtful researcher who believes in ideas of social constructivism as a philosophy of Moodle. When you are around him you feel like asking his opinion and discussing complex issues with him.

Several members of our team live and work in the USA.
Tom lives in Boston. He works on bringing e-technology into classrooms. He dreams of a team of teachers which will be interested in creating modern educational environment in his college. Tom is very receptive to the ideas of other group members; I feel his understanding and acceptance.
Barbara lives in suburb Philadelphia. She is an artist, art teacher and used to do art therapy. For me she is a Magician - that's the image of her I have after looking at her professional world, after seeing her fantastic work, work of her students and her involvement in the professional community of art teachers. And of course, I admire the new direction in her career associated with the development and implementation of e-technology, her willingness to learn from others. I can imagine what she can achieve here! And how beautiful it will be!
Ruth lives in Framingham, she's a very passionate person. I could see it right away. I would call her a Missionary who inspires others with great enthusiasm, promotes integrative technologies in teaching children and adults. Ruth already knows a lot in our course, I admire her experience in working with web-design programs and, of course, I want to learn more about it.
Nelly and Lyudmila are our group facilitators. They live in different countries, one in Canada and one in the United States. They have a long history of working together. In addition to in-depth knowledge of theory and practical skills of using a wide range of advanced tools in e-leaning, they possess amazing professional and personal qualities. It is often the        most important requirement for success in learning!
In my opinion, they both clearly expressed confidence in their students and the world at large, caring and understanding of other people, passion for the work they do, openness to new ideas, interest in their own learning, and readiness for cooperation. I believe they are the most talented team of the most competent Moodle coaches in the world!

Medha, who now lives in North Carolina, is from India. Medha is my partner in this project. We worked together as a team of moderators during the first week of our training. We named our Team "Disseminators", because we share the same understanding of the purpose of our study. It reflects our interest to further dissemination of the gained knowledge. During our joint work I learned more about Medha. That's what I'd like to say about her:

She is a wonderful partner. I felt comfortable working with her. Medha loves teamwork and always ready to cooperate with me and Ludmila.

She is very tolerant of my English; I always feel her support and her help.
After talking to each other, we concluded that we have a lot in common. We love to cook, to create in different fields, and we both love to learn.
